Great satisfaction. I bought mine from Gert ( www.carnewal.com ) and my mechanic did the job. Its the TechArt unit which as far as I understand is identical to the OEM. More precise shifting and shorter throws.

I purchased mine from Devek.
Easy install and it actually makes shifts smoother as the revs don't fall as far.
Some good tips here: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/231831-short-shifter-for-ss-hammer-required.html
If you have a C2, then the hammer is not required.

I installed the factory RS short shift lever and fork (local Porsche dealer or Gert). I'm very satisfied but I also didn't expect the throw to shorten very much. Instead I wanted the **** a bit higher/closer to the steering wheel so the extra 1 inch length of the new lever was exactly what I wanted. The throws did shorten up a bit too, and I would say that overall I'm VERY satisfied.
Installation was fairly simple if you have any sort of mechanical ability... Instructions can be found by searching on "RS shifter" and finding a thread that details the install quite well and has good pictures. The ones on P-car are also good but it is a different kit and many steps are not needed...
Cheers;

I hated the stock, rubbery shifting when I first bought the car 2 years ago. I installed the Porsche OEM RS shift kit(lever and fork), then rs motor mounts and recently the RS shift rod.
With each addition, the shifting feel got slightly crisper and more defined. There was an improvement with the shift kit alone. I recommend it if you are looking for a bit better shifting feel while shortening the stroke a bit. The real difference comes when you do all 3 steps. I actually like the shifting feel of the car now.
