Those big gaps between the spokes give you a great big window to the beautiful drilled discs and calipers (and also make it easier to get in there for the inevitable clean-up)

SRM - Please don't sell our 993's short! 993 rotors are not drilled. They are cast with the holes in place, a far better rotor than a drilled alternative...

Sorry to pick nits but drilled rotors are dime a dozen. 993 rotors are very high quality.

MC,

There you go, making me learn something new about my car...!

Now tell me how to make it fly (like your avatar)!

Buford,

Nice combo, huh? I couldn't be happier...you'll appreciate the lower ride height, too, but I would counsel you to include a front protection bar. I haven't touched mine yet, but knowing it's there gives me comfort when I'm in a challenging driveway/dip situation. Good luck!

I don't know, but I've always liked the 993 Targa rims myself.

I love this tread, but I didn't see of the 993 Turbo S wheels with their special finish:

What I've learned...

1. While there are many amazing looking wheels for the 993, there is virtually NO wheel that looks bad.
2. Sport suspension is a MUST! (The stance makes all the difference).
3. I love the way the body looks on the 993. (I've been on the fence for a long time about whether to look for a 993, or a 997)
4. You all have some amazing looking machines!!

Studies have demonstrated that each pound of unsprung, rotating mass removed from the car is the performance improvement equivalent to 6-8 lbs of "static" weight removed from the vehicle. So, removing 70lbs of weight from my wheels and brake rotors is about the same performance effect as removing 500 lbs of weight from the car.
MC...so if I understand this correctly, if I just walk around with no shoes I'll drop about 30 lbs? Forget going to the gym!
