i hope it is ok to ask on this thread, I have a 993 C2S and have the opportunity to pick up some speedline wheels of a WB 964, the sizes are 18x8.5 ET 40, and 18x12 ET28, can anyone advise if they will fit on my WB 993?
I am awaiting the arrival of a set of MY 02 wheels I picked up on a great deal from a fellow member. Seeing all these great pictures is not helping my patience!
Oh, and I'm seriously considering a duck tail too...

Most likely not! I’ve mounted 11et40 and it’s very tight. Depending on your tire choice you may rub. Now you’re talking an inch wider and an even lower offset. Will not fit a stock WB. The fronts will fit fine though.
A few old pics and one recent (but not very good) pic. Installed Bilstein PSS10 coilovers and these wheels (HRE 590Rs) back in 2008, and clear turn signal lenses shortly afterward.
FS: Tramont/Speedlines
Price:$2500 if you want them to be Tramonts or $15000 if you want them to be Speedlines.
sorry, sometimes I can't resist being an assh*le....
best,
Paul
Forgive me; I'm ignorant on these things. Dealer said it has Tramont/Speedline wheels that were built by Jim Dorociak. The rims says Speedline for Porsche on them. So how do I tell if they are Tramonts or real Speedlines?

Hi Jay,
Your elfer looks amazing!
If you look at the lips and they say "SPEEDLINE" and if you take off your wheels and look at the inside of the faces / sternes you should find stampings from the manufacturer.
Either way, congrats on some beautiful wheels!
Sorry if I offended in any way. Both Tramont and Speedline are beautiful wheels, however I think its safe to say that purists want speedlines which seem to command more money that tramonts which are seen as replica to the speedlines.
Jim D can etch the” SPEEDLINE BY PORSCHE” into the barrel, IIRC. That being said, probably a Tramont Cup Wheel, with modified barrels. Still a quality wheel, that few...especially with the correct hardware, can discern. They might have started life as a NB set, and Jim changed the barrels/offset for WB fittment.
And that ain’t cheap either...
oh and...the Tramont are infact “officially” licensed replicas from Porsche of the Speedlines

Good enough for me, for sure. They are great looking wheels, but man they ride pretty rough and are heavy. Don't think I could go to a 17" wheel after seeing these; maybe a lightweight 18" wheel.
