See the two following links... and the diagram below. I think the reverse mounting he's referring to is explained in the Wheels Anatomy 201 section.

With 2 or 3 piece wheels you can either front, sandwich, or reverse mount the wheel "face". Since Knight's bbs lm's are a 2 piece style setup, he has mounted the rim face behind the barrel which effectively lowers the offset and pushes the wheel outwards. Looks perfect imo.

Yes and yes.

For example, here are my wheels with the face mounted on the lip.

Exactly. The offsets on LMs when reverse mounted reduces by approx 14mm.

As a comparison, you can see the face of the rim is behind the barrel here.

FWIW I've read many posts over the years that suggest many people get easily confused about offsets on Porsche wheels because they are typically negative but are not expressed as such. For example a ET50 offset on a Porsche wheel is a negative offset. Therefore ET60 isn't more offset that would move the wheel toward the outside of the fender but rather more offset that would move the wheel towards the center of the car.

I see what you mean..... I certainly agree with you. The face mounted from inside the barrel looksuch better.
