Default My 1997 911 Turbo for sale

My 1997 911 Turbo is for sale. I’ll state simply that I’m being a good husband and prospective father so as to earn points for next spring when I’ll be looking to buy a new toy, and not the Mattel variety. All good stories, no matter how dreamily amazing, must come to an end. This car has been an absolute blast to own, and I hope the new owner gets as much enjoyment from it as I did when it was being used properly. Lately, I’ve actually been enjoying just looking at it, which is a tremendously moving experience in itself, but not rational enough to win the debate with the wife. A daily commute on horrific roads (bumpy, potholed, and less than 40mph for 45 mins. each way), no available time on the weekends for car-centered enjoyment after getting married, and a wife’s desire to have bigger and better kitchens, cars, and babies will take precedence for now. I'm expecting this goodwill to be redeemable for cash value in the not too distant future.

Here is a link to a webpage I created with relevant information about the car...

Here is a link to the ad I placed in the Rennlist classifieds...

I will be looking to sell it to a “good home,” ie., an enthusiastic owner. And, no, I won't be a stranger here after I sell it.

Spread the word.

Best,

John

Man, This is killing me. That car is gorgeous. I would gladly flip my C4S for that car. Price looks reasonable, I'm sure you will have NO problem selling it.

Good luck and I hope you can get back to P-Car ownership soon. You will be hard pressed to find another as nice.

I have been waiting for this car to go on sale ever since joining Rennlist. Unfortunately I am not in the position to make a move. So I respectfully request a "same as cash" deal... I am thinking 2 or 3 years same as cash... John H. what do you think? Of course I would make the obligatory $100 a month payment until final payment is due.

Let me know... feel free to PM me.

You should NOT have a problem finding a taker at that price, John... truly a beautiful specimen. A little out of my reach (for now), but definitely one I'd look at very hard if I were so inclined. Good luck.

John,

I'm happy to hear that you'll soon have a family but am sorry to see you sell your sweet car. The drives won't be the same without you; please feel free to join us no matter what conveyance you're wheeling.

Jeeeezzzz - this is exactly the type of car that I hope comes up when I'm ready to buy a 993TT once my move to CA is complete. I dont see you'll have any problems moving that one on.

I'm speechless just looking at it (and its not even mine!!)

Definately one of my favorite. I love all the personal touches you've done to the car. Good Luck.

Incredible car! Karma is a cool thing. Your doing something selfless for the Family. All it can do is bring good things back to you. You enjoyed it, now you get to let someone else enjoy it. This is all good stuff. It will be a quick sale for sure.
