I think this guy's gloves might be a very good value: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RACIN...temZ8006406782

He's got a bunch of others as well, but this model seems to be the best he carries.

Is there a big difference between karting gloves and racing gloves?

Not that I know of. Some carting gloves are reinforced with tougher material at teh knuckles, but I don't like that. I use carting gloves for Autocrossing, they are fine for DE. You don't actually need Nomex for DE, but I wouldn;t give advise on that, it's pretty personal.

Make sure you get the right size for your hands. I'm forever trying to chose between small and medium and it's a pain when they don't fit well. And they are all differet in their fit. Kind of like helmets.

Arrwin,

Most karters I know of use regular racing gloves. To answer your question, though, I believe karting gloves are made the same as racing gloves, but w/o the Nomex material.

Eric,
I didn't know that was a spin...that is the way I always drive ;-). Nice job. I agree with you about driving gloves. I have gloves in the glove compartment for rain or cold. I used them when I had a Sparco suede steering wheel, and they worked very well. With a leather wheel, I find them slippery.
Hope to see you again sometime, but the season is over for me. Perhaps next year at Autobahn.
