Finally... Pics of My 993
Well folks as you all know by now I bought Jdoc's nicely modified 993 and it is now back in the state of Washington were she was originally sold. I know most of you have seen her before but... Finally had a chance to get some seat time behind her wheel this weekend on a club tour to Leavenworth for their October Fest. She was rock solid at 130 mph. I was somewhat concerned about the ride height which measures 24.25" front and back, but had no issues.

Great photos and beautiful new (to you) car ... I started at that same ride height and I think it looks great, however, I have now gone up about 1/2" and like it with a little more range for the shocks to work in ... if you have an adjustable suspension you can always experiment next time you are due for an alignment anyhow.
Being in Vancouver, I wonder how I hear about these tours with such roads so close to home?

Thanks Doug,
The tour was organized by our PCA officers. For information on these type of events, check out the various web sites for the different PCA regions.
I am thinking about raising the ride height too. What does your car measure from the ground to the bottom of your fender well?

Craig ... as requested, I have recently reset my rideheight to about 25.25" rear and 25.75" front ... this was the result produced at Weissach in Vancouver where they have a lot of relevant experience.
While it may not look quite as 'tight' as the lower (RS-spec) height, the tradeoffs in suspension compliance and driveway clearances are a major plus in my opinion ... I still can stiffen it up as much as I like with a twist of the ***** on the Bilsteins ... since I upgraded the sways at the same time, I can not really comment on any directly-related cornering performance tradeoffs other than to say this car is rock solid at speed and very confident (near neutral) in the corners.
As an additional comment, I now appreciate the ability of a good shop to nail the kinematic toe setting such that I can take my hands (not far) off the steering wheel at any speed and the car tracks perfectly straight with the throttle nailed or completely lifted :-)

I love to see a well cared for 993 like that being let off the leash in that type of scenery. Nice!
