New Stereo Installed - What a Difference!!
#46
I got it off this website:
http://www.caraudio24.de/Autoradios/...IN::27869.html
Yes, you can use it as speakerphone (handsfree calls) either by the built in mic or the external mic (also provided)
I did not take any pictures this was my second upgrade(after the HID Xenon conversion).
I can compile a list of things you'll need in order the complete this installation.
I've used a few harnesses, took me awhile to figure it out. .
whatever you do install the frame only after you made sure everything is setup correctly, it's a pain to take out.
just remember you will need an LOC to connect to the nokia amp, as this does not have line outs.
i got this one off amazon: http://amzn.com/B00JORE2L8
now the real challenge is to replace all speakers and keep min impedance of 50 . I've ordered a few speakers from parts express, we'll see how that goes.

Thanks 993Ninja.
Very understated unit.
I was looking at this one:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_291NA87...ichi-NA87.html
A little blingy-er but similar in the bluetooth streaming and no CD player.

The sound is amazing - bass response is outstanding, mids and highs are crisp and clear, and with the built-in equalizer, fine-tuning the sound is very easy.
Total cost: $140 speakers + $100 head unit = < $250 including tax! I should have done this upgrade when I first purchased the car! (EDIT: with mail-in rebates, total cost was about $200 including tax)

FYI, jansan946 posted a more detailed instructions on how to install this unit:
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-or-radio.html
he chose not to go with LOC, in my opinion it complicates the installation a bit and not as 'clean' as it could be since you need to wire directly into the Nokia amp, the LOC preforms great and still enables the amp to deal with mid&highs for the speakers. also I connected illumination to the switch. instead of the ash tray, seems like the ash-tray is a much more elegant solution.
I may be wrong though, do any of you have some input as far as what would sound better ?
