Many times 993s like yours are highly optioned. They are built earlier but due to the time it takes to build & add the options they get a later VIN.

there is another 97 on the list with vin/date mismatch but you put it in sequential vin order instead of by month. It is @WhiteCab 993 (1720) that is 1/97 but listed in the 11/96 grouping
I did add it, but I put it in as being manufactured in 5/95, not 5/96. It is a 1995 and won't have been manufactured in 1996 and your VIN fit in perfectly in the 3/95 sequence. If I am wrong, let me know.

It is more likely a 1996 as indicated by the door jam sticker, and fits nicely before ploglet’s car . It has Varioram, and I also have the Monroney sticker (stating 1996) and the purchase agreement from January 4,1997.
