Does any one know where to get or have color codes for MY 2002 5-spoke? Having wheels painted after a session with the grit and gravel of the aprons around here.
thanks in advance

OK,
To answer my own thread and for all of you out there (I guess 24fps, you makeup the sum total of all of you out there) I have found out the following:
1) There are no known color codes (at least from our favorite dealers and suppliers) pertaining to wheels... it must be a big dark secret.
However....
2) I did find out that an Audi color, Crystal Silver (LY7T) is the closest match.
And sun of a gun if the paint chip is dead on and is reproducable instead of a custom color.
So good there you have it.

Thanks, John. This is good info.
BTW, have you considered changing the color of your wheels while you're at it? I saw 5 spokes w/ polished lips and painted spokes in the 996 forum... looked quite nice, but required a lot of work to mask off and paint the spokes where the spokes meet the lip.

I did consider changing color and by mistake they were done in body color...nah But eventually thought that darker would detract too much. I think that if I had a different base color other that silver I would be tempted... eventually I thouht stock showed best... I have new total body respray with turbo bumper and a bit lower in the front... pics this weekend when it comes home!!!!

Hi John,
I love the slight blue hue of polar silver. The issue with me, and it probably is only with me but I thought I'd just offer it as food for thought, is that I feel the polar body clashes with the "regular" silver (arctic, maybe??) of the rims. I've always thought this with every one that I had seen, which is why I've always tended to like the arctic cars over the polar, even though I like polar as a color better. So perhaps you may want to think of truly matching the rims to the car by spraying in polar silver. Though I am not a fan of color matching rims to body color (unless it's a long-hood with carrera script!), I think the car would look more "finished" and not at all gaudy or bling. Alternatively, think of going for real contrast and try a darker silver, more toward the "gunmetal gray" hue. The yellows, silvers, or whites look great with gray-ish (not black) rims, IMO. Oh well, just a thought.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
