No Malibu . . . hmmm . . .
There is something about those Malibu canyons. A run is not a run unless it starts off at PCH/Sunset. So, for those brave westside souls who want to join me early and meet up with everyone at Fred's point of departure, I will do my usual canyon run but nice and early. Sunday is best for me and two others I know of as far as a day choice.
I get my ride back from Galen on Monday, new clutch and all ready to go. Can't wait! Been over a month without it! Going to be a heavenly reunion.

We are trying to be "IN" but aren't sure. Mom in Law is not well at all.....
Anyway, we shall see. Of course, If we are there we will be Porsche less as we would be flying in for the weekend and I doubt you'd want a Hertz rental car with a governor trailing waaaaay behind.......

PS: Thanks Guys. You know how to make a gal feel good

I am a bit lost here....I THINK we started with a group(?) of people from up north (Like me in Monterey, and some from San Fran area), but it seems like now it is all people from LA area (?) (Sorry - too new to CA to know where a lot of the smaller towns are), so how will we manage THAT link up? I'd really like to meet a lot of the people I "know" from here, so let's work it out.
I am able/willing to meet anyone coming down from north of me somewhere on the 101 between Prunedale and Salinas. We can then meet the rest of everyone at the show, and go jointly on the rest of the drive?
I will dig into the map in a few minutes to try to figure it out from the perspective of someone coming from "NORCAL" (See, I am getting hip already), and any advice on how to do the linkup is appreciated!

I "may" be able to join the group at Grinders in Moorpark... Rufus just went into the body shop today for some upgrades, and I specified he MUST be done on Sept 9th. I went from two arena red turbos to zero... Waldo left last night for Seattle, being driven up by his new owner...a Rennlister. A sad day for me to see him go. I hope Rufus can look as good. <sniff>

A few comments...
I heard a lot of diappointment in the swapmeet part of the event, but still sounds like there are tons of Porsches to oogle over...isnt that half the fun?
I was actually thinking about flying in for this...take a little break from work, stresses, etc. If I flew to CALI from TX, where would be best place to fly into, AND, if I wanted to attend this drive to the show, can I ride with someone?
Lots of frequent flyer miles burning a hole in my pocket and still pissed that I missed Hershey....this might be the the ticket...

I am coming from Yorba Linda and would love to meet with someone along the way. I am not sure if my wife will be able to make it, but I just reserved a room at the Country Inn and Suites Ventura. Nothing fancy, but it was available and reasonably priced.

Chris,
Going to start just along the 91 from you in Corona. I'm intending to go Sunday am (v. early!) and meet with Fred (Fbfisher) and crew in Calabasas...
I think Ontime was talking about this too.....maybe get an "Inland Empire Posse" going?
Are you planning a Saturday stayover then if you're booking a room, or do ya just wanna do a day jaunt?
Clive.
