Default PPI in Phoenix, AZ

I'm thinking about getting back into the Porsche world and started looking at 993's this weekend.

There is one I'm interested in that seems to be a good deal. Maybe a bit TOO good.

So where are the best places in Phoenix to get a PPI done?

Also if anyone knows of a nice 993 for sale in AZ, CA or that vicinty, just drop me a line.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry should have been more specific. In a perfect world a coupe with a red exterior and black interior. The one I'm looking at know is Speed Yellow/Black. Sorry not looking for a cab. Already have a convertible! And no black cars. The conv. is black. I don't need two cars that are impossible to keep clean here in the dusty desert!!! Gotta update my profile, I now live in AZ.

There are a number of good Porsche guys in Phoenix. I use Don Jackson Enterpreises. Straight shooters. They did my PPI when I bought my current 993. There just south of 19th Ave and Peoria on North Lane.
Welcome to Phoenix....remember it's a dry heat!!!

Thanks jrb964, I'll check them out. Yeah, an oven is dry heat too! I'm looking for a 993 because my other hobby car is impossible to drive in this heat!

zekksw, you hit the nail on the head. Did you check out the car in question? I want to take it to a shop and find out if the repair was done right, plus get all the other tests, leak down, etc. done. There are some cosmetic things wrong but none that can't be fixed. I'm going into this with open eyes, so no worries.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Matt, I did call about this one. The seller was very vague regarding some level of accident damage. That plus the lack of any service documentation makes me want to pass regardless of price, think of resale down the road, good luck!

Let me know if you need some help. I know of some great shops here for the PPI and an outstanding body shop that can check the car for damage. In my experience, the repair shops really don't identify body damage very well.

PM me if you need some help.

Hey zekksw, Gary Perry, and JRB 964... how about joining us on our Sunday Drives? PM me your email address and you will be on the invite list.

Thanks zekksw. I drove the car yesterady. Needed an alignment and tires. Plus there were a bunch of cosmetics needed. Engine and trans seemed fine, at least for the 20 minutes we had it out on the road.

He also said he had no problem with taking it anywhere for a ppi. Like I said it's not perfect and the price would have to be lowered so I could repair all the problems with it.

I'll keep looking for a car in better condition, but they are more $$$ and seem to be scarce in the phoenix area.

PJ,

Any help you can provide would be great! E-mail me the info at mcuozzo@gmail.com.

Also, would I be welcome to join the drives in my 1965 Shelby Cobra replica until I get a Porsche? If so add me to the list. I wouldn't be up for any rides until the temps drop a bit, at least in the cobra anyway!

Clive,

Did you send the e-mail to mcuozzo@gmail.com? I did not recieve it. I think my profile here may be linked to my old e-mail address which I no longer have access to! I have to find out how to change that.
