Yup, they are interchangable on wide body 993's such as the TT's and S models. They won't fir the narrow boady carreras though.

They do fit on the car but they're not the same as the 993tt. The 993tt rears are 18x10 with 40mm offset. The 996tt rears are 18x11 with 45mm offset. The 5mm of offset and extra inch of width push the rim out about 0.7 inch. Here's a pic of a set of 996tt wheels and yokohama ao48s on my C2S.

EDIT: THE FIT SHOWN IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FIT ON THE 993 C4S OR TT AND IS POSSIBLY AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR (C2S). THE 45MM OFFSET ACTUALLY MOVES THE WHEEL INBOARD 5MM SO THE 11 INCH 996 RIM SHOULD SIT 18MM INBOARD OF THE 993 RIM POSITION AND 8MM OUTBOARD OF THE 993 RIM POSITION.

I have 996TT wheels on my 993TT which is WAY lowered and they do not stick out of the wheel wells anything like hoggel's. Also I run 315s on the 996TT wheels and no rubbing inside or outside.

The 996tt rears are 18x11 with 45mm offset. The 5mm of offset and extra inch of width push the rim out about 0.7 inch
I have the 996 twin turbo wheels too, front offset is 50mm and rear is 46mm.
My car is lowered to RS height and they do not stick out at all. My car is C2S.

Rears fit almost flush to the fender lip. 18x11 with the 45mm offset fills the arch nicely compared to the 18x10's. 295/30's , no rubbing at all.

kdurg's wheels fit the way that I expected mine to.

It is obvious that something is different about my car or wheels. I bought the wheels off e-bay so I was very concerned that they could be fakes. I asked for pics of the numbers cast into the wheels and the seller provided the pics. Now when I match up the wheel PNs with the pcar part catalog cd that I have I see that that it is off by one digit. I must have missed that in the photo. The cd shows only 18x11 with 45mm offset for the 996 turbo/gt2 cars. PNs as follows:
996 362 142 03
996 362 142 11
996 362 142 01

The pn cast into my wheel is 996 363 142 03. I can't find that part number in the catalog anywhere. Also cast into the wheel is 11 J x 18 and BBS. Cast in the wheel by the valve stem is 11 and 45.

Do I have some counterfeit wheels or is my parts catalog inaccurate?

Sorry for hijacking your thread pinoysche.

Here you go

The second picture is a good comparison between the 996TT wheels and the 993 wheels. Good Luck.

I think I may have found the reason my car is different. On the 97 and 98 C2S (m495) there is a spacer on the rear. The parts catalog says it is 31mm but I measured mine at about 41mm.

Anyone else with a C2S? Could you measure your rear wheel spacer and let me know what it is.

Porsche put spacers on the 2S when it was delivered with the 17" cup wheels. (to fill out the wider fenders) They are not used when running proper offset Turbo twist wheels- 40mm ET.
Were you using the spacers on the 18" 993 twists pictured in your avatar ?? Maybe the spacers were on the car because those twists are narrow body (65mm) offset??
