The circled holes are for bolts that hold the cat support.

I assume the engine is completely free at the rear when the carrier is removed and it would require at least two jack stands to support/balance. Anyone got recommendations/pics? When I take mine out I suspect the engine will sit like this for a few weeks while the carrier is strengthened.

Paul, you are better off buying one complete from rennline <$300 and then being able to do it on the same day.

That way you can just leave the jack under the engine with a jack stand as backup.

Thanks, Steven. I am considering getting the Rennline gusset and having it welded and painted here, along with my center tunnel cover, to save some $, but it might be more trouble than it is worth to do it that way. Maybe getting a complete assy from Rennline IS the way to go.
