Original was a bit dark so I lightened it up some.

Watkins Glen. When will these track photographers stop shooting at such fast shutter speeds and add a bit of blur to the wheels and background?? It's skills one should have out of Intermediate Photography.

Thanks, Chris!

To paraphrase Billy Crystal spoofing Fernando Lamas, "It's better to look good than to drive good."

Mark,

Funny you should say that about shutter speeds. I am (actually "was" as a hobby) a hack photographer raised on SLRs and aperature/shutter speed settings. I've wondered for some time why some of these track "pros" don't shoot better, more dramatic shots; it's beyond me. They should be panning and shooting at 1/3 the shutter fer cryin out loud. It's as if they were trained to do portrait sittings or something. And BTW, your car looks absolutely stunning! The stance, the Fikses, the decals ...you look seriously good out there. Now if only I could drive half as good as you look...

No lie. Hell, there's even snow below his windshield.

Funny, I say that to myself all of the time...

Edward,

I'm glad you like my graphics. I wanted my car to look like a race car.

As a former pro shooter, I guess I'm a bit pickier about my images than most. I think these track shooters could sell more by giving customers a better impression of speed. Everything's frozen like a Harold Edgerton high speed shutter bullet-bursting-through-an-apple shot. Blech. I know photoshop can cure it by blurring wheels and backgrounds, but photoshop should not take the place of basic skills. Anyone who can't pan with a blurry background and sharp subject should be forced to drink a gallon of D76 developer. (Yeah, I know; I'm geezing with the black and white darkroom reference.)

Tony,

It was a pleasure to meet you. You looked good out there.

I thought that I probably should learn to walk before I ran...and the 993 is too purty

By the way, Steve did Sergio Nardi have anything to do with your IMSA car? I know he used to drive in IMSA.
