One question before it is too late. I have always wondered what was behind your screen name. 'Wreck Me Otter'. Would you share the story? There has to be story, right? ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It had to be curiosity. Sometimes it can get the best of us.
Thanks and thanks again for sharing the whole story.

Randy - Rick is correct...initially I heard the term "Spec Me Otter" WRT Spec Miata...then Greg Fishman, knowing the penchance for Spec Miatas to 'go NASCAR', thought it should be "Wreck Me Otter"...so there we are....
I've been told that it's a lot tamer now then when the class started a few years ago, however, I'm still waiting for the race were there are less than 10 car to car contacts in a 30 minute race...of course, cramming 62 cars, of relatively equivalent power, on a 2.25 mile track at once, there's not a lot of open room and the racing is tight up and down the field. That's what makes it fun.

Kim, great story and well told. Thanks for posting all the photos, that takes some time itself!
My job at Laguna Seca is to be sure each winner gets their bottle of champagne and trophy. I'm looking forward to the day when I get to hand you
one of those trophies. I'm sure it will happen. The last Miata race a week ago was probably one of the best races of the weekend. The 3rd place driver started last on the grid, that's some pretty amazing driving considering the number of cars on the track.
See you in Victory Circle.

Kim,
I've considered giving the Spec Miata game a try - what is the closest thing to a Rennlist to lurk on as a learning experience? I'm not willing to really modify my cab for racing, won't sell it, and can't afford two P-cars. TIA for any info and thanks for a great, well illustrated story. I'm just at the autox stage now so I can identify with the - not enough time in the seat per event part.

Kim,
It has been fun watching your evolution on both Rennlist and at the track. The Spec Miata's are a blast. I got a ride in one at a TracQuest event at LS a couple of years ago and was completely hooked. That is how I ended up with a Spec 944. Hope to see you at LS in the future if you stop by when POC is up there this August.
By the way, your post was alot of fun to read. You have had and are having a great journey. As a fellow Turtle, I often say that it is not about the victory...rather it is about the journey...
