Question Any one got pics of 996 Turbo Wheels on a 993?

Has any one any saps of a 993 widebody car with 18" 996 Turbo/ Carrera 4S wheels? I've got a C2S with 17" rims and tires at the moment.

I understand that these are 996 362 136 01 ET50 front(as opposed to 52 for the 993) and 996 362 142 10
ET45 rear ( 40 for 993 widebody). Will this bolt straight on or do I need a 5mm spacer for the rears. My car is lowered already on 17" but no rubbing as it is at the moment.

Also the rears are 11" as opposed to 10" wide, but I am guessing this will be ok and 285 section tires will be fine?

Cheers guys.

they are a direct bolt on, no problems. some people use spacers, some don't. i had them on my old C4S with no spacers and no problems.

I just purchased a '97 C4S blk/blk with stock twist 18's. I am switching to 996 Turbo twists 8x18 & 11x18, so the rears will be one inch wider. I plan to do it this coming week I will post some pics for you once I get them on, I can't wait to see it myself. Pic of the wheel attached now.

If you cannot find them on used, like on eBay, then try www.wheelenhancement.com. They seem to have a pretty good selection. No affliation here -- they've just been VERY helpful, knowledgeable and professional in responding to my inquiries -- yes, 18" wheels are on my "short list".

Shop around for these wheels. There are a lot of them available for good prices. IMHO, a good set of takeoffs should run about $1200-1800 with nearly new tires. I see people advertising them for outrageous amounts. just my 2 cents

Dave,

If you like these rims, then call John Brown @ Wheel Enchancement. He's in Culver City, so he's not that far from us. I'm going there in the next few weeks to get some new tires for the Audi, and a plug for one of my MPSCs. John's a nice guy and is also a sponsor for the POC. He just bought a new Cup Car and had one of the POC guys drive it at Road Atlanta two weekends ago in the IMSA Cup race and they won! Give me a call when you get back into town.

"Takeoffs" are just wheels that are removed in order to fit aftermarket wheels. Hence OEM "takeoffs"...

You can see more pics by doing a search on the same topic on the 993TT board. There are a lot of folks running these wheels there with pics.....
