Default What color touch-up paint for big red brakes?

Didn't find anything using Search. The big red brake calipers I bought have a couple nicks in them, and I'm wondering what color touchup paint to use. Guards red? Or maybe there's something available at Autozone for cheap.

I have it at home and will look it up for you. In fact, I may have used my ex's nail polish. No, that was for a gunsight. I have it somewhere. It's something like Chevy Red and it worked perfectly. I thought it looked a little shoddy when the calipers were on my kitchen table, but it's totally unnoticeable on the car, even when I look for it.

It's not indigo red (Dale Jarrett red) is it? Any ideas on where to find the stuff are appreciated too.

So, Eric, did you ever find out which color it is?

Eric, you might check with Chris Walrod. I know he's repainted and powder coated calipers in the past.

I've used Guards Red touch-up paint, which I was told is the color. It isn't perfect, but matching a red is impossible anyway.

I use Plasti-kote touch-up paint found at our local Pep Girls auto supply (not really an auto supply, more like offroad scooter and ATV, air freshener, bling bling stick on junk, bumper sticker and soft drink supply)

Its GM3867 number top coat with clear 3701. Oh, and the bottle says for cars AND trucks... Good thing they disclose that one

Glasurit "laser rot" from Audi colours seems to be an excellent matching colour. Look at Macca's post:

I used Testors model paint, the kind in the little glass jars. There are tons of colors. My calipers were powder coated red by a PO and had a few chips on them when I purchased the car. I touched them up two years ago and so far they still look great. I have to really hunt to see the touch ups.
