How about outlining the hows and route the car is taking on its way to you in Anchorage? (If you already covered this, sorry for the wasted bandwidth...just curious). Do you have a way to check progress or track it?

I can track it through the shipper's website. It is in Carson City right now.
It goes from OG's place in Ridgecrest, by open flat bed , to Carson City. Then loaded in an enclosed trailer...which drives all the way up to Tacoma, Washington where it gets put in an enclosed container on a ship. Then it sails up the inside passage to Anchorage. Whew..quite a journey!

I wasnt gonna say anything but the tow truck driver had a 9mm on the front seat. and a
bowie knife in his pant leg. Now WE desert dwellers walk around like that in cammos.
But a truck driver from LA usually are a little less gung ho that us.

I think it is great that you found a tow truck driver who is obviously willing to put his life on the line to defend your Porsche. So hard to find folks with commitment to their work these days.

The driver has got to be saying to himself..."Damn, I think I'm in that dude's picture!"
Is the car on a solo flatbed? How come it wasn't in an enclosed trailer from the get-go? Just curious....I'd be nervous with that beauty being exposed to both the elements of mother nature & human nature as well.
