Hi all
I have a friend selling a set of used Toyo Proxes... 2 of 205/50/17 and 2 of 255/55/17 off of a Boxster.
Tires are like new( he just bought the car and is moving to 18's)
How much are they worth???????

Hmmmm.. What do they say about buying something from a friend? The preferred approach is that the tires are worth a nice dinner on you. If $$$ are required, maybe $200-300.

it depends also on how old they are (years, date code) and the wear on them...

Since when buying used tires you never know the full history of them (ie. could have been underinflated and have unseen structural damage), IMHO nearly new tires with minimal wear are worth at best 40-50% of new..esp as I don't think the warranty transfers.

There are several different models of Proxes. Some are OK, some are not good. Which are these?

To give you an idea, I bought a set of S02 from a fellow Rennlister for $250.00 including shipping. The tire are hardly used and fit wide body. I think it was a very good price.

just an fyi...i finally saw the tires...Toyo TS-1..in like new condition...bought them for $150
