HeY Joe,

It's a size of a PEA. They said that as long as a Dollar Bill can cover the crack or chip they can repair it. The cost for my repair is 50 bucks. Which is too little to report to insurance so I'm going to have to pay it out of my pocket.

What sucks is that I just got this windshield replaced by Safelite over the summer. They used OEM glass for our cars which is good. But it wasn't cheap, $1,000.00 for a new windshield. So I ran that through insurance.

Thanks! Mine is about the same size. I'll have to give them a call.

Sorry about the gravel Terry... those @%$@ sticky tires! I hope your car is ok. Hey, if the wifey likey, it's time to ask her permission to spend a few $$$ on mods... Kiddin'... Your car is awesome! Nice meeting both of ya

Hey Carreragal, you'll see they do a good job... They fixed about a dozen chips on my windshield and I can't really tell the difference... Those damn mosquitoes on the freeway...

Safelite Tech just finished the repairs on my windshield definitely looks a lot better. Now it's presentable not totally gone but now it looks like a tiny mark I can live with for now.

This weekend totals:

GAS: 30.00
Lunch: 18.00
Lost Money: 40.00
Rock Chip Repair: 50.00
-----------------------------
Out on a BAR drive with 20+ other Porsches: PRICELESS

Louis,

If you think Terry's car is awesome today, wait till he comes back from his European vacation.

BTW, thanks for your pics, they are fantastic.

Here's a tip for those complaining of rocks and windshield chips...

Organize the next drive and take the lead !!! No rocks, open roads, set the pace and so on.

Seriously. It is rewarding to assemble these drives and see folks have fun. We can keep these things happening if folks will share the load and provide some diversity in where we go. If anyone has an idea and needs a primer in route planning, drop me a PM. I would be happy to assist.

Also, more thanks to Louis for the smiling pics. What a great set of shots to brighten one's day.

Regards

Pong, this one is for you.

Here is the larger one.

More pictures to come in a bit.
That is one of the sweetest pictures I've ever seen. No exaggeration.

Very nice.
