Finally!!!!
However - watching the guys at AZ state emissions testing, from a little windowed office about 10' back from the car, stall the car out three times before getting the emissions correctly tested was something akin to watching a total stranger drop your newborn kid.
OK - I'm single so maybe not that bad. However I did a lot of cringing with the occasional pop out of the office to make suggestions - which were ignored followed by, please Sir, get back into the office we know what we're doing. It's for your own safety. My finger nails are now stubs.

Now for the question
My car originally had 17" wheels that were upgraded to 18" wheels before I got it. Is there a way to make sure that the speedo is correct after doing an upgrade like that since I think - not sure - that the circumference of the tire has changed? Thanks - Scott
Congrats your car looks sweet and you got as a bonus the super rare 1995 model sports seats!IMO these are the best looking and fitting seats and super difficult to find...

A FYI, 95 cars may need a upgrade to supension to take the 18 inch wheels. At the very least I would do the steering rack brace upgrade (about $25.00)
The following quote is from PCA web site
``For retrofitting of 18" wheels, we are referring to the updates Porsche made to the 1996 cars to be able to run 18" tires. These parts were introduced for the turbo and then made standard in amongst the other numerous changes made for the 1996 & later models. Porsche was not very specific as to the exact list of required changes. "Some of the modifications applied to the 911 Turbo (reinforced front axle joint, reinforced wheel carriers and stabilizer bar bolt joints of rear axle) have also been adopted for the Carrera models, and the remainder will be introduced at the time of the model change". In addition, there is a special Technical Service Bulletin entitled "Retrofit of 18 Inch Wheels" for 1995 911 Carrera models, #9604, ID 4440, Feb 27 1996. It describes the need to add a strengthening brace to the steering rack. The parts for that are cheap compared to the wheel carriers and all that. The reinforced front axle joint is 993.341.049.02 and you need two of them. The new front wheel carriers are 993.341.157.03 left and 158.03 right. The microfiche requires the dealer refer to several other technical memos so I can't give you the complete parts list without replicating all of that material. The dealers all have it. The reinforced rear drop links are 993.333.073.02 quantity 2 of those. The rear wheel carriers are 993.331.155.01 left and 156.01 right. A number of rear control arms were revised to make the car more stable at the back end. 993.331.047.02 two of those, 993.331.041.02 left and 042.02 right. It may be possible to just keep your existing wheel carriers and change out the rest; that is up to Porsche whether they "approve" of that. Your dealer can find out and tell you.''
So I would say to check those part numbers and then we can see what, if anything, needs to be done.

How did you get that split spoiler grill on a '95 non-S? I thought they only came on the S's and I'd love to have one on my C2.

Gert sells the split grill conversion kit for about $350.

Danny:
The seats are great. Have no idea why Porsche didn't continue with them. Very comfortable and the fit as you said is fantastic!
Rick:
The split grill was on the car prior to my getting it but I have what appears to be all the service records and I'll check to see how it was done. I suspect it was from Gert since it appears to be very similar.
Eric:
WOW - Thanks for the info about the 18" wheel upgrade. I asked Brian at Willow about the brace for the steering rack and he said that was done as part of the upgrade. I didn't know about the other parts of the bulletin so I'll double check on those. Hmmm - those additional pieces may be part of my first set of mods.
Now I just have to wait for the weather to cool off this fall and see if I can attend my first DE.
As one who drove the car a couple of weeks ago for Scott, can't say enough about the excellent condition/color of the car, the very cool level of options and the incredible sport seats. Forget the body-hugging nature of the seats, if you never took a hard corner in your life they would still be great as they were super comfortable, something I noticed the instant I sat in the car.
Here's wishing you many miles of smiles.
