Stupid question, but.... Anyone ever had to use their spare tire and have to deflate it afterwards? If so, how difficult was it to get it back to its original position?
The reason I ask it that when I bought the car it seems that someone overfilled the brake fluid and or spilt some around the inside of the trunk and on the spare tire. At this moment the tire is laying around the garage and dripping what I believe is brake fluid on the floor from the crease where the tire collapses. I was thinking of pumping it up to help easily clean up the mess around the tire, but was thinking it might be a PITA to get all the air out of the tire again....
Thanks

I've done it and it works. If you pull the valve out (any bike store should have a valve removal tool), put a ratchet strap around the tire and crank, it'll deflate and compress. Not removing the valve makes it a little tougher, but still do-able
