ShamWow, indeed, as in "Wow, this guy's in trouble." Sorry if this is old news:

Karma for a s*&%%y product, IMO. There are also graphic images of the aftermath online, if you're so inclined.

Wash + CA Blade (works fantastic) + Sonus towel from Autotopia.

My car is black and I love the results. I Polish/Wax my car 2X per year and use the quick spray on wax while drying the car every other wash.

+1 on the Sonus Der Wunder drying towel. Works very well.

Best stuff, imho. Learned about them from the detailer here who does very high end cars. (He also does Nicholas Cage's cars.)

Thanks for the heads-up - just placed an order with these guys.
Cheers,

Since this thread started on drying towels, just to be clear.. the MF towels Darin mentions are not for drying. They are for polishing, detailing, etc. but not drying.

Personally, I like the water blade (kept VERY clean with a wipe of a towel frequently) and the Sonus der wunder drying towel. The blade and a couple of those dries the car well.
Some day I may go the leaf blower route but I have been using the above method for years now and not causing swirls or scratches on a black car.
