Glen, I don't have a horse or four-wheeler, but I could come tomorrow & help look if you think it'd help. Hico looks a little far for driving out from Houston, but Continental has a flight into Waco that arrives at 8:38a. It looks like a little over an hour drive to Hico. I could rent a car or hitch a ride if anyone else is coming from around Waco, and be in Hico around 10:00a, I'd guess.

Bob Rider is her stepdad and Kathy is her Mom.
He is on Meds that he needs every 3 hours and has not had them since 8pm last night, suffers from Parkinsons...none of this is good math. They are desperate for any help as the tmps drop, sun went down adn the searchers went home, all they have until daybreak are the volunteers.
Bob is 66 yrs old 5ft 8 inches wearing Blue dickies overalls, black and blue flannel jacket, wearing glasses and does not have his teeth in, dogs picked up a scent 2 fields over. News will not release the story until Police release him as missing person which they have not done yet. That is all I have for now, there is no cellular coverage there and I just spoke to Christi's sister and there are 15 volunteers pushing forward from where the dogs and rescuers stopped at dark.
They took the dogs away just after dark. The family doesnt want to stop and continued with the volunteers where the dogs left off. It will of course ruin the scent and tracks but dressed the way he is with his frail health they feel if they do not find him soon....My best hope is that someone picked him up and turned him into a hospital somewhere delirious from the lack of meds and cold as a John DOe...That is my prayer.

This is truely heartbreaking, Glen.
I'm going to post this on the Pelican board. Anyone local I'm sure would lend a hand. Please let us know if you think there is any of us can do.
Sincerely,
Leland

I picked this up on Pelican. Here in Linn County, Oregon, our Sheriff is in contact with, and often uses a BSA Explorer's post in cases like these. These "kids" have performed heroic search and rescue chores in the woods here. Try your county sheriff, see if he's in contact with any Explorers there...they move in fast, they are trained well, and they search thoroughly.
