Has anyone seen the rear backseats of a club sport 993? I thought i saw a car on Ebay that had what looked like 2 gloveboxes instead of seats? Is this the CS edition or an option?

I believe both the RS and RS/CS had storage boxes rather than seats in the back. Some people have posted that there was a rear seat delete option on the 993 but I have never seen one in the US. It must be either an ROW version or a retrofit job.

the 993RS and 993RSCS had all kinds of factory options we in the USA were led to belive didnot exist. I have seen several factory 993RS Clubsport, the last was a triple black car with New York plates at the RENNSPORT Reunion at Lime Rock and this car had no rear carpet on the rear deck and seating area...just bare metal painted black. Other 993RS had rear seats. Porsche told us that 993RS/RSCS were relatively stripped pseudo racecars with no: power steering, no A/C, no P/W, no radio, and basically no creature comforts. Its is bullsh-t so we USA customers wouldnt gripe.......993RS/RSCS had any option you could want including sunroof and airconditioning. Porcshe product planners stated that 80% of 993RSs had full comfort options and that is why the 996GT3 came stock with airconditioning even with the clubsport. I hope this help......and this is why anyone can build themselves a USA 993RS.

Does the seat still go back all the way or do those "seat delete" rails foul full seat "sleeping mode, star gazing, etc" setting ?

I also have the rear seat delete option number 419. I believe the price was between $600 and $700.

the original RS and Clubsport has no rearseats or Gloveboxes in the rear.The sats are eliminated for weightreasons and it wouldnt make sense to add something instead.
The original has plain Carpet and the rear and sidepanels are carpet also,with no insulation.
