PICTURES of the Va Beach/Pungo Drive
I have been in DE's where I thought it was a blast, but last Saturday's Fun Drive
was the best time so far I had in the Porsche!! Most of us met in Virginia Beach
and then moved to a coffee shop in Nimmo where a couple more
of the guys caught up with us.
Courtesy of Don, he took us to his secret route in Pungo. Thrilling twisties!
Mostly through country roads, what a drive!! I would say that 80% thru the
twist and turns. I kept it in 3rd gear and shifting to 2nd on tight turns.
Halfway in the drive, we stop at this tiny country restaurant where they serve
real great burgers. After half an hour of chowing down and car talk, we hit the rest of the twist and turns of Pungo country roads. We all sure had some awesome time. The only bad thing is it has to end
Hope we do this again!

Thanks guys for the kind words. We surely had loads of fun driving. The twist and turns were just a blast to speed thru... safely of course
Motion, I told Ray about your reply..he should come up here.

Great pics Mike, thanks for sharing. It looks like it might have been a touch colder back there than our 80 degree temps out here yesterday. Love your yellow calipers behind the 5 spokes in white....and that store banner in your 1st pic is perfect!

Thanks Proti and JR Gordon.
JR, Thanks for the kind words. I painted the calipers myself with hi-temp engine block yellow and 1 coat of clear. Link/thread(post 21&44) below has the story.
