Big Turtle finds the Podium!
Yes, it is true, Mike took one of the top 5 positions for the Chicago Region Racer of the Year! As with his pole qualifying, Mike out-paced some very respected drivers in our region including Tim McKenzie and Bill Economos as well as some lesser respected ones, "the Nemisis" Doug Crossman, "FEAR IN YOUR MIRROR", Eric Cyranski, "100#'s O' Mean", Nicki King and your's truly!Here's the evidence!
My congrats to Mike on a job well done!

So..... $20,000 for the racecar, another $20,000 for the racing season, and a top-5 finish results in.... a stinking GLASS? Geesh! I won a better prize in my top 5 finish in my first ever autocross in my Saturn. (no, I'm not kidding)
BTW- congrats Mike!! Sorry our region is a bunch 'o cheapskates!

Only a glass yes, but...he and his wife also won a couple of raffles. Upon learning of the raffle win, I overheard his wife say something along the lines of...geez Mike, only $22,500 more and your Xmas shopping is over!" or it may have been "only $236,405 more and we're even for your race expenditures!". Not sure which but I got the idea Mike has some work to do.
