The engine and transmission are out of the car and while replaceing the clutch, I am going to have a number of other things done including new plugs, breather gasket, new style return shaft, pilot bearing and the rear main seal.
Is there a flywheel Lock tool that I can use without an engine stand? I saw one on pelican that says it is for the engine yoke only. Will that work?
Thanks in advance for the advice, Dave

Kevin,
Thanks for the reply. Does it look like this one from Pelican?

You don't need to spend a dime on a flywheel lock or even a minute fabbing one up. Take a small, double-ended box wrench, use a pressure plate bolt and it should thread into the flywheel. Line it up so one end of the wrench goes over the pp bolt and the other onto one of the case bolts. That should hold it. I haven't done this on a 993, but it has worked on all the other 911's I've removed the flywheels from.
