Flew into Tampa this morning where the owner was gracious enough to pick me up. Checked the car out (even nicer than I expected) and drove back home. I was in heavy rain for most of the 350 mile trip. I am SO pleased with the car and the AWD system. I was driving 60 and 70 in fairly heavy rains that I would have NEVER driven that fast in my other cars. The car never once felt unsettled. It felt like it was glued to the road. I even like the color better than the first time I saw it. It certainly gets attention! In person the Turqoise Blue darker than what shows in the picture (took the picture as I arrived home. It's pouring rain so I'll start the cleaning job tomorrow)
WOW! What a car and what a day!
Great to wlecome another J Lo to the board. Congratulations and lots of luck with that beautiful car!
As Paula Abdul would have said, from American Idol - "Bill, you took a risk, and you made that car your own ." Nice car, fellow C4S compadre. Congrats.
One recommendation to you: Aluminum Tips!
So happy for you.
Quick question..interior has a slight "mechanical" smell about it. Not obtrusive but has a hint of maybe oil or metal (something along the lines of my old VW beetle 20 years ago). Anyone else notice something like that?
That is the 'Porsche' smell. Once I bought an '83 SC 90K on it and it still had that unmistakable Porsche smell in it after a decade of use. Post pics of your new car. Great color.
PPI showed no oil leaks. I've smelled the "smell" before in other P-cars so I'm inclined to believe it's the Porsche smell. I'll check out more thoroughly tomorrow, though....
