Victory Motorcars in Houston
Does anyone have any good or bad experiences dealing with Victory Motorcars in Houston? They seem to have a pretty good selection of 993s and other Porsches. I was thinking about heading down there and looking at several cars.

make sure they aren't affiiated with Expo motorcars (won't go into my long diatribe about those crooks). I don't know Victory but if they have any association with Expo I would run.

If so, what are your thoughts?

Scott,
I have not made it there yet however I received a PM saying that not all of the cars listed on their web site are still available. I just called them about a car they had on their site and it had already been sold. They claim they have about 25 911s for sale right now.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but I had a really bad experience with the guy that runs the company.Yrs ago when he had another lot under the name Robert Neal Motorcars. I bought a 930 from him and later found out the mileage had been rolled back. After taking the car in for service at the dealership the service writer told me the car had been in earlier with something like 50,000 more miles on the clock !! Even his former employee confirmed that they occasionally rolled odometer's back !! By the time I found an attorney to take my case the guy had filed for bankruptcy and I was about 25th down the list to recover damages; I gave up. If he's no longer with this company they may be OK but otherwise use EXTREME caution. I could still punch the guy !

Joel,
Even if you could not file civil charges due to the bankruptcy, couldn't he still be prosecuted for criminal charges related to the fraudulent rollback?

Anir, you're probably right. Unfortunately at the time I was just thinking of my pocketbook. I would have been OK if the guy would have compensated me for the loss in resale value but of course that didn't happen. If I would have not been so angry I would have tried to legally stop him from doing it to someone else (pressing charges). This all took place back in"89 so I'm assuming the statute of limitations has run its course ??
