You may be right.. but the RS (300 HP) is equal to the RS CS (Club Sport) (300 HP too) except for no carpets, Nomex race seats, factory cage and full fire extinguisher system. The RSCS is indeed quite noisy. Saw a RSR at Hermann & Schmidt.. looked identical to the RSCS... did not drive same

There is quite a bit of confusion with the 993 RS, Clubsport & RSR versions.
In addition to the features mentioned by Monique, the Clubsport has the single mass flywheel and slightly different gear raios to to the regular 993RS.
here in the UK the 7 rhd Clubsport cars that came in were known as RSR, the reason for this is that the 968 Clubsport was available at the time and this was the budget version of the range and it didn't fit with the image for marketing purposes.
There are some proper race RSR 993 cars made by Porsche these have around 360bhp and are more extreme than the 993 cup cars which have 315bhp.All of these are LHD.

I have a LHD 993RS Clubsport which is also known as a RS-R in the UK as clubsport1 has stated. There was a good article in Excellence a couple of years ago on the Clubsport, but for the record the differences I can remember to the standard RS are:
Full welded in Matter roll cage
Black Nomex seats
Schroth harnesses
Solid lightweight flywheel
Sintered clutch
Steel syncros
Revised 5/6 gear ratios
No interior trim apart from door panels and full centre console
Wind up windows, no radio
90 litre fuel tank
GT2 front wing spoiler
Supercup style rear spoiler
Electrical cut out switch, pull on dash
Heater blower deleted
No clubsports came from the factory as standard with a fire extinguisher system, although you could order practically anything from Weissach if you wished.
The RSR is probably better termed "911 Cup 3.8 RSR" and was the last version of the 993 Cup cars built in 1997. This is the one that had the gorgeous GT2 style bolt-on arches (anyone have some of these spare?) covering 9.5" & 11" BBS centrelock wheels. The spec on these cars can be found elsewhere.

No radio or AC either only tinted glass. The original owner specced the car without talking to his wife... he was made to sell the car at 6000 kms coz his wife threatened divorce.
SOOOO... the dude bought a X51 (3.8 300 HP option) Targa with no radio or AC either. He got a second divorce warning... The rest of the story is unknown
