Hey all. Since this is my daily car, I need failry low miles. I drive at least 15K miles a year. If you have something, please send to: bob@autoworldmarketing.com
Thanks!

Well, I read the top thread "Admin: First Posts and New Users" first, but saw nothing about it. Maybe I missed it. Even though my "join date" states 2002 (reflecting a change of address), I've been with RennList since before it was called PorscheList. During that time I don't recall reading that "wanted to buy" was considered the same as "for sale." I'm not selling -- I'm offering to buy a car from a member of the RennList family. I'd say that's pretty cool. Hope everyone else feels the same.

Bob, didn't you have a black 3.2 Carrera that got partially crushed by a cement truck or dump truck when it was parked a few years back? That was a memorable tale!
FWIW, paid members are allowed to post for sale and want to buy items, as long as it's not excessive.

Yes, that was years ago -- a blue 946 Cabriolet. Good memory. Actually, it was my wife (haven't spoken since!). She parked it on the street in front of our school and a dump truck backed into it. Not crushed though -- it hit the left rear quarter. The car was repaired beautifully -- no expenses spared -- then I used it as a daily driver. Finally sold it. I was driving a 996 Turbo for a while, but I want a simple daily driver, hence this thread.

Bob, since it will be a daily driver @ 15K miles a year, why not buy a high mileage one. My mechanic just told me about a friend's '95 w/ 170K miles and running as good as new. Mine is currently in for leaking valve cover gasket, front hood and rear deck lid shocks, the collapsed vacuum splitter thingy. Small stuff, really. I have a feeling this is the last Porsche I will ever need.

Yeah, you are really hitting on a point. Been thinking the same thing. Your OBDII '98 has never had a check engine light come on due to ... you know ... the "dreaded" secondary air port issue?

Bob, no SAI CEL. Mechanic says it is likely from the way I drive it. That plus the Techron treatment in the last tankful before every oil change.

New clutch every 60K or so, gearbox dunno. PM me for the mechanic's name if you need to be in touch for more info.
