NSX: May Sell the 993
#46
superflyyellow,
I don't track my cars, but do take them out in the country on some seriously curvy roads and find that my NSX is far easier to drive fast than my 993. I owned a Boxster S before my 993, and felt it was also easier to drive in the curves than my 993. Guess I like mid-engine cars a bit better.

CP,
all we need is one more musketeer, a reason to crusade.. and we can write into the head turtle with a legit reason to join the ranks of hwfmR
Gregg,
Its like a marriage, u and your Porsche just needs some rekindling and reaquaintance.
Gifts and presents work wonders to relationships (LWF, chip, dampers, mufflers)
Take her on the track, like a short honeymoon... just you and her
RELIGHT THE FIRE! *gawd thats cheesy*
da word Honda just doesnt roll off ya tongue the same way Porshe does

Sorry, drifted off topic. Yes, Senna was responsible for developing and fine-tuning the NSX chassis. They got the car so right the first time. If it wasn't for the NSX the Ferraris and Porsches will still be archaic dinosaurs.

How much involvement did Senna have the development of the NSX? I know he tested the car a bit, but that's it. In the Official Tribute to Ayrton Senna DVD, it shows him taking the car around Suzuka.
PS: Harry, he was/is my alltime favorite driver, too. A lot of F1 died with me that tragic day. I still watch F1 today, but it hasn't been the same since May 1, 1994.

Rich,
I am quite certain Senna was involved in the development of the car - how much I do not know but from what I can gather he helped develop the chassis while he was at McLaren. Another reason why the NSX has a special place in my heart.

If I can afford to and beg my wife long enough I would love to have an NSX in my garage next to my Porsche.

Sadly, Rufs are great fun but constant tracking become an extremly costly affair.
(not meant to be a hijack, just some considerations for like minded people)

Superyelllowfly,
I just noticed your sig. says Chunn. Is that part of your name? Incidently, the C in the CP in my sig. is Chun.
P is Pong. Interesting coincidence I guess.
Harold,
Repeat after me: Gotta RUF, Gotta RUF.... again, again... There, it's not so bad, isn't it.

Superyellowfly,
I am guessing Chunn is an Asian (Chinese) name? If it is then that's quite incredible. Don't know how many 993 RUFs are in the states, but two of them owned by Asian (Chinese) named Chun(n) kind of defies the odds.
We need to be more selective in our third musketeer here.
