Ah..... I forgot that you are in Singapore. Still, two 993 RUFs owned by Chinese (I was born and raised in Hong Kong) with similar name Chun(n) is extraordinary. Bet you Alois will be pleasantly surprised.
Mission Statement: turn all Rennlist 993 NAs into RUF BTRs. Herald, are you there?
Cause: the divorse lawyer's full-empoyment act.

Oh well, another season I think I will give the sport a miss.
Sorry, drifted off topic. Yes, Senna was responsible for developing and fine-tuning the NSX chassis. They got the car so right the first time. If it wasn't for the NSX the Ferraris and Porsches will still be archaic dinosaurs.

IIRC, after the NSX was launched, autocar did an excellent feature with Ayrton including some laps around Silverstone with the legend. He had development input into the NSX including signing off the chassis setup. It was obvious from the car article that he knew that car vividly.
The same cannot be said about the Ducati Senna and various other cash-ins that happened aftterwards.

Talking of Mansell, some of you will remember the race where (can't remember which race it was) Senna and Mansell diced wheel to wheel literally!! Those days are gone now when it was exciting watching F-1.

Senna & Mansell had some epic battles, but I think the one you are referring to is the Spanish Grand Prix, 1991. There were coming down the main straight - literally inches apart - and Mansell wasn't going to give in! I think he had the inside line and Senna had to back off and concede the lead. 'Ole Ayrton was none too happy afterwards!

Sat in the Zanardi edition for sale in Columbus. Very nice car but I prefer black and a little cheaper($59,999). Storage room was acceptable and the wife unit agrees.

Both are excellent cars.
One thing that many people tend to do is making comments without having driven the car extensively. 270 or 290 HP may seem much less to today's standard, but it is still plenty for even experienced drivers can handle.
No soul in NSX? Honda was overpowering F1 scenes in the 80s and Ayrton Senna was a backbone of the NSX development (his involvement was essential in making NSX feel as perfect as possible).
You cannot go wrong with either car (having both cars in a garage would be perfect). Have fun!

Sorry, I just can't see myself in an NSX. Nice car, rode in one at Laguna Seca ( thanks to Kim ) fast and presumably reliable but so is my M3. No way to compare to a 911. Just looking at my 993 I'm still in awe, the classic 911 instruments, the sounds and smell of the aircooled engine, the chassis talking to you, no other car compares. Moving to the 911 world for me is a one way ticket, kind of like the Hotel California. You can check out but you can never leave.
