superflyyellow,

I don't track my cars, but do take them out in the country on some seriously curvy roads and find that my NSX is far easier to drive fast than my 993. I owned a Boxster S before my 993, and felt it was also easier to drive in the curves than my 993. Guess I like mid-engine cars a bit better.

Gifts and presents work wonders to relationships (LWF, chip, dampers, mufflers)

Yes, but that is because it is the bog standard car! When I eventually have the means I hope to buy the NSX-R which has the same concept as the RS with carbon bonnetts and wings. And the sound of the engine!!!!! The car does look outdated but I have always been a fan of the Honda cars since they ruled the roost in F-1 many moons ago.

Two words - Ayrton Senna.

An impeccably engineered car which may never be replaced, imho.

I remember the tragic day when my all time favourite driver died. I was sitting my professional exams in Glasgow where I now work. Such a shame we were robbed of the spectacle Senna vs Schumacher. Hakkinen made up for his departure but now I hardly watch F-1 it is sooooo boring. I was hoping Jensen did get his way as there were rumors of Hakkinen driving the BAR car. Oh well, another season I think I will give the sport a miss.
Sorry, drifted off topic. Yes, Senna was responsible for developing and fine-tuning the NSX chassis. They got the car so right the first time. If it wasn't for the NSX the Ferraris and Porsches will still be archaic dinosaurs.

How much involvement did Senna have the development of the NSX? I know he tested the car a bit, but that's it. In the Official Tribute to Ayrton Senna DVD, it shows him taking the car around Suzuka.

PS: Harry, he was/is my alltime favorite driver, too. A lot of F1 died with me that tragic day. I still watch F1 today, but it hasn't been the same since May 1, 1994.

Rich,
I am quite certain Senna was involved in the development of the car - how much I do not know but from what I can gather he helped develop the chassis while he was at McLaren. Another reason why the NSX has a special place in my heart.

Have to agree. I have always loved the NSX, a truly stunning car and would love to add one to my garage one day. The S2000 has never seemed to evoke the same emotion in me though....

Sadly, Rufs are great fun but constant tracking become an extremly costly affair.

Brother,

Superyelllowfly,

I just noticed your sig. says Chunn. Is that part of your name? Incidently, the C in the CP in my sig. is Chun.
P is Pong. Interesting coincidence I guess.

Harold,

Repeat after me: Gotta RUF, Gotta RUF.... again, again... There, it's not so bad, isn't it.

Superyellowfly,

I am guessing Chunn is an Asian (Chinese) name? If it is then that's quite incredible. Don't know how many 993 RUFs are in the states, but two of them owned by Asian (Chinese) named Chun(n) kind of defies the odds.

We need to be more selective in our third musketeer here.
