Hi HWFM Racers,
Finally the video of our very own First Mate, Danny (DJF1), hunting and passing a CGT among various other cars!!!!!!!!![bowdown](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bowdown.gif)
He better have a good explanation for this.
Where is the good Mother Superior when you need her most?
In any case. Here is the video (get it while its hot and the bandwidth usage is still friendly):
"Right click save as" HERE for the video.

I guess you can drive however you want when you have a $400K car. Amazing how fast it accelerates on the straights!!!!
On another topic. I have not driven there but it looks like you could lift off on a stretch there in the infield, is that true?

A few questions:
(1) What track is that? Looks wide open and not-much elevation change. Good for a track novice like me to start?
(2) What was Danny driving? a tt?
(3) Was that a DE or a race?
Thanks.

The triumph of the turtle!
Way to go Danny!
Why you were even jhitting apexes. Probation was being considered, but that was too much fun to watch
"(2) What was Danny driving? a tt?"
CP, you just made Danny's day

Kary - Assuming you are talkin about turn 8 where it looks like the track drops off a bit? The transition downhill is alot smoother than it looks in videos.
Its Texas World Speedway. Definitely not flat but nothing drastic either.
I liked it and there are runoff areas in all the places that seemed necessary.
Hehe. He is driving a 993 RS 3.8 Clone
DE
Mike - Nope. I believe Danny did them.

Nice driving Danny! The CGT looks great from the rear. Can't believe how quickly it accelerates down the straight.....

Danny, what were you thinking passing all those water cooled cars?
Great video, great performance! You know this is strictly forbidden, hitting apex's and all..
Car sounds great as well!!

Heh... Princenton thanks for posting and hosting ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
This DE was in August at my home track the Texas World Speedway in College Station TX. Its a great and very fast track to run. My driving actually is not very good, I was very rusty and my lines were not very good as I had not driven the "Blue Meanie" for almost 7 months with my back trouble and my work schedule. You should see Robert H driving this track![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
By making this video I do not want to trash the CGT owner. I thought it would be very impressive for all to see a CGT in action especially flying down the main straight!!!
To the owners credit I think this was the first time he drove it on the track as well as I was very glad that he actually drove it where he should instead of leaving it collecting dust in a garage somewhere. I'm sure that once he learns how to drive it he is going to be flying around there...
As for hitting some of the Apexes, I apologize and accept any panishment deemed appropriate by Mother Superior. I can assure you that when I get more seat time I will never ever hit an apex again

Very impressive Danny. I think, I saw your car at Mike’s when mounting new tires on a Friday afternoon in August. Mike was speaking highly of both car and driver: “ Ah, that nut…look what he did to his car!” I hope, I can make it with y’all to TWS maybe in December.

Danny,
He was at MSR a couple of weeks ago for a Drivers Edge event. His wife showed up in a GT3. He is a really nice, down to earth guy. I was expecting someone with an attitude, but was pleasantly surprised. That car sounds awesome. BTW, that Cayenne was pretty impressive, wasn't it. He was also at the event.
