Techart Supercharger Kit CT3 still available?!?!!
I remember some discussions regarding this well developed kit some time back- 462bhp from standard C2 or C4 1995 up, supercharger, intercooler, plumbing, conrods, pistons, ECU, and TUV approved of course. Strangely, have found a website that indicates that the kit is still available, albeit at a pretty hefty USD48,369......

Harold,
That kit gave indeed a great performance and is great. This was a few years back. I would guess that a TPC supercharger has nothing to envy to the CT3 at a fraction of the cost. Obviously not the same setup but it will get you there and be reliable as well from what I've read on this board.

I love the CT3! Here is a video of a CT3 including a couple of 200mph (323kph) runs

From the images of the engine bay; it appears that they have relocated the air-conditioning compressor over to the left side. That is an amazing accomplishment!

One big plus of the CT3 is that it is lag free - a very nice feature.

Graham,
You drove the RUF, did you feel significant turbo-lag?
I think the value of the RUF package goes beyond just engine tuning for power. They match their transmission gearing, ECU, suspensions, exhaust, brakes, wheel/tires etc. to optimaize the engine perfromance.
If I have a 993, and bought the CT3 package (o TPC, or any other package for that matter), I'll still have to mod all the other areas to complement the added power. I may not have the workmenship associated with RUF, and certainly not the engineered package assembled by the RUF engineers.
BTW, I got the GT magazine you referred me to. Great read about RUF. Only thing is those really small prints. Or my eyes are going.
Thanks.

Did you know that RUF is releasing a DVD at the end of October which includes Faszination and a few laps of Stefan Roser driving the 996 Rturbo on the Nürburgring and more. The first 1,000 copies will be sign by Mr. Ruf and Mr. Roser. It costs Euro 89,95 (including shipping) in Europe, at least.
