New Porsche Owner, 1995 993 Cab, How did I do?
Hello,
I just bought a 1995 Black 993 Cabrio with 47,000 miles on it. I paid $36,800. Was this a good deal? The car has a performance chip, fabspeed exhaust, K&N Air Filter, with turbo twist wheels. I just put new rubber on it, bridgestone potenza 265/85. Does anyonw foresee near future problems or performance issues. It drives like a dream...my dream. The top has a busted cable so it has to be put up manually. Other than that, it seems to be perfect. Leather is perfect, stereo upgraded (not like you can hear it anyway at 6000 rpm). Any 993 owners out there have any advice. Thanks!

Welcome to Rennlist! Congrats on the purchase! One thing, you may want to replace the K&N with a factory paper filter. The K&N passes more dust than the paper variant, hence the flow increase. These engines are expensive to rebuild and I feel we all should do what we can to keep the insides clean, FWIW..
And, POST SOME PICS!

Now is not the time to wonder if you got a good deal. That was a question you obviously answered before you pulled the trigger. Fatten up your wallet so you can get the top fixed and get the ride height down to ROW, get some clear lenses on the front indicators, install the manual highspeed oil cooling fan switch in the blank on your console, get a V1, and drive the hell out of it and don't look back. Any buyer's remorse symptoms can be easily cured by taking it out for a good Italian Tune Up.

Congratulations speed thrills and welcome to Rennlist. You got a black cab, huh? Nice. Enjoy your car. Do you love your car? Well, you got a good deal.
The 993s are arguably the best cars Porsche ever built. All of us think so.
ROW means Rest of World. Here in the states our cars come with SUV wheel well clearance. Fixing that is part of the slippery slop, i.e. MODS. Modifications you will want to do to the car.
Have fun.

Velkomen.
Sure you got a good deal, you're driving a 993. That sounds like a good deal to me. Have a blast and have fun with all the goodies your gonna buy. It's like having a new kid.
Fred,
What's with the cooling fan. Tell me more.

Yeah - except your steering wheel is on the wrong side (actually you have it on the correct [left] side, we have to contend with little things like offset pedals).
