A few thoughts...

God bless our troops! And while I'm at it, I'd like to include law enforcement and fire/rescue.

God bless America and its world leading administration.

A new day has dawned for the people of Iraq and while we deserve most of the credit, you won't find this administration gloating.

The French can kiss my A$$. The Germans aren't far behind.

I'm very proud that our country and the coalition partners have the "attachments" (a David Hobbs reference from Sunday's F1 race) to do the RIGHT thing in the face of HUGE criticism and media bias.

My 2 cents (squared).

One more thing... Tony Blair deserves a medal. He REALLY put his career on the line to stand by the USA.

One scene today on CNN showed an Iraqi man saying over and over, "THANK YOU MR.BUSH". That made me feel incredibly proud to be an American!

Cool web site site Matt. I get a kick out of a bunch of self-centered high schools dropout entertainers bashing educated and informed leaders.

Here's another website, check out the gallery to see who really is the driving force behind the protests.

Yes God Bless America. The pictures today of Iraqi citizens holding signs saying "Thank you USA" make me very proud to be an American.

I still see protest signs that say "No blood for oil" and "How about a regime change here at home". Have these people not seen the murders and torture chambers over the last few days?

I'm happy the story played out over the last few weeks the way it has. It's good for our children to see the "bias" and then the "truth".

Any man can just follow the masses, it takes a special leader to do what Blair did. The citizens of a country (ours included) don't have the same info (amount and quality) that the leaders do, you should have a little faith that the leaders will do their job. Afterall you are the ones that elected him.

Well said, Greg! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

It's all too easy to hide behind the mantra "will of the people" especially when it serves your own political agenda. Kudos to those who stand up for what's RIGHT, and face the storm of criticism without wavering. Let's not forget that along with Blair, Bush and the administration at large were more than fairly criticized (vehement verbal assault comes closer to mind)
but they stood the course. Could Slick ***** or Gore have done the same. BTW, Lieberman, too, was a minority voice of reason for his side of the aisle...congrats to him, as well. Let's all hope the rest of our naysayers here (let alone the rest of the world) get a few more doses of reality...Wake up and smell the Hummous!

I was born in Britain and I am extremely proud that Blair has taken a stand against popular consensus. He has continually been torn apart by the British for not taking a stand on any serious issues. Finally he takes a stand with the US allies and again is initially torn to bits.

Greg.....you are right on!!... I raise my glass to two men who have gone against the preverbial grain, it takes real men to make serious, serious decisions and stick by them.

I'm proud to be a Brit and equally proud to live in the greatest country in the world.........the Good Old USA.

God Bless America and God Save the Queen.

Although my wife would tell you I have selective hearing, I have deliberately cultivated a friendship with a guy on the diametrically opposite end of the political spectrum. Shortly before the war started, I endured about a 12 minute monologue of how (1) there were no WMD (2) he is contained by the UN inspections (3) he has not tortured his own people, and if he did it is not our business (4) he is not a threat to any neighbor (5) the Iraqi people will throw us out if his troops do not ..... My brief response was "It will happen anyway, and one of us will have the opportunity to say "Sorry, I was wrong". I have not heard from him on this subject. God bless the troops and thanks to the leaders who did what history will judge was the right thing. Sorry for the OT.

Terry,

the other characteristic of being a man is being able to admit you were wrong. Hopefully your pal calls.
