Default Question

I'm considering of changing my C2 narrow to a S with rear turbo S scoops.

Is it worth it and what will it cost?

Any pic of that?

TIA

This is how it looks now.
3.8 engine
full carbon interior
PSS 9
Alu shift + handbrake
Short shifter
Full Techart exhaust
Techart chip
motorsound with K&N
TT nose
Alu doorsills
etc..

I have a feeling that you would be much better off selling your car and buying an S

Its personal preference. Depends on how big you like your butts, and how much they will cost you.

You've already invested in a lot of parts for this car and if you plan on keeping it-do whatever you want. It's already far from stock so there's no problem there. I would just go with the stock "S" fenders, without scoops. As far as drag/wieght are concerned-you already have the extra HP to compensate for the itty bitty difference-go for it. I'm partial to the wise a** anyway....

instead of copying a body which is already widely available, why not go for the full GT2 look

Get the RS body pieces (spoiler, splitters and side skirts) and be done with it.

You'll get just about the best looking Porsche (much better than "just" S) and since you already have lots of mods in your cars, you don't need to do much more, shave a lot of nonsense stuff like sound deadening, cats, bling bling etc. add Recaro seats and you'll end result will be close to RS.

I wouldn't bother. With the car lowered like you have it already looks great and not too J-Lo ish. ;-)

Cheers,

David

Geez, that mod can't be cheap. If you have the money and love the look, go for it. I'm partial to the GT2 look myself.

Just as Petu says, the RS aero tweeks are great on the narrow bodied 993. No comparison in my opinion..

If you do it, you'll be known as a poser. Not good.

Do what Mike?

This turbo scoop thing, or RS or?

Anyone driving their Porsche slow or not on the track is poseur so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

When it's "pimp", yes, it sucks bad but if we're talking about getting i.e. RS pieces when you have mods in your engine, suspension etc. it is not posing.

If, however someone has RS (or other aero) pieces with otherwise totally stock car and never drives it hard, yea, in my opinion that's posing.

Dear Fly,
Poser= trying to make your car look like something it is not. He owns a C2, not a C2S or TT or RS. Akin to walking around the beach with a surfboard under your arm and yet never surfing.
