Default Time for Tires - and Wheels?

I need new tires, while I am at it I am thinking of changing from my Chrome, 18" Technology Hollow Spoke Turbo Twists. Anyone interested in buying them.

I was at Wheel Enhancement today and they will give me $600 in trade. I was hoping to do better than that.

PM me if interested.

What are you replacing them with Fred?

Fred, what type of driving are you planning on doing? This will determine a suitable set of tires and wheel widths for your baby :-)

I think I want to stay with a stock look so I am thinking of stock hollow spokes. Wheel Enhancement sells them mounted with Continental Sport Contact 2 - a much softer tire than the SO2's I've been running. I hear that the Conti will be a softer, less noisy ride but still allow for some fun in the canyons.

However, they had some really kool Kenisis wheels, yummy!

Wish I knew how to post a pic of my wheels

I like my PS2s in 235/295. Nice and sticky and much better than the SO2s.

Not sure if you'd like the Continentals much, I haven't heard too many great things about them, FWIW..

Try selling your wheels rather than trading them in. You will be better off doing so..

Good luck!

My latest brainstorm - Stevarino's too - is to go retro and put the stock 993 CUP wheels on our M030 euro ride height cabs, could look very cool. So I'm looking for those too if anyone has a nice set that they want to part with.

Hurry, Kinesis is moving the cup wheels to a larger spoke size...so unless you go 17", the 18" will have a new look (not retro). They told me the centers will get "less easy to get" but the rims (outer and inner) are in abundant supply. Repairs by them are quite reasonable...cannot remember but about 180 for half and 300 for both halfs, outer costs more (polish is better).

If I had my "choice", I think body colored center sections could be cool....even in red.

Good luck. I am obviously biased. BTW, I have always loved the PS line, currently 225/40 and 285/30 on the beast...awesome!

PS: I don't think big brakes and the wheels in the picture work well, check with Kinesis. My stock brakes "fill" the wheel and are quite close to the limit on space.....

Default PS2 still working well for you?

So, is this solution still working well for you? And is your suspension modified to lower your car any more than an RS? Any rubbing issues with full turns? Any comparison with respect to performance (grip) to Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico 225 / 285 in factory stock sizing assuming 99% dry condition driving.

icerbofh, thanks in advance with any comment.

I got $1000 trade in for my chrome hollow spokes with curb rash...I thought it was on the generous side given the chroming although overall condition was pretty good. This was quite a few years ago.

David, did you trade your wheels in to wheel enhancement? Has anyone traded non-chromed turbo twists into wheel enahncement and if so, how much did you get for them - not that I'm thinking of doing anyting

I have a set of stock 993 cup wheels from a C2S i might be parting with if i can find some 18" Turbo twists. Anyone have a set for sale or know of any leads.

Thanks
Don
