I like the look quite a bit and find the face to be pretty, but hope the front end isn't too similar to the 997, causing the same lack of product differentiation that existed between the early 996's and Boxsters.

Yeah, that's been in the press for a while here. Very nice but a bit too close to the 997 I would say. Nevertheless, I don't think one would be mistaken for the other on the road.

I dont mind it at all. If I was gonna buy a 997(which I am not) I would have no heart burn with this
car, I like it. And If I was gonna buy a Boxster, which I cant ever since someone on another forum
called it a "Porsche in Panties"! I thought that was pretty funny!
Disclaimer: I did not call it a "Porsche in Panties"! Someone else did in what I think was the 996 forum. I dont even like saying "Porsche in Panties" So please do not flame me for the term "Porsche in Panties".

Looks like a great car. But from the pictures it fits into the camp of Audi TTs, and some of the newer Japanese sports cars. No, most people won't mistake it for a Toyota, but even as a Porsche it does not raise my pulse rate.
My 993's styling however, still looks crisp to me...despite it's age.
If I ever did own one, the one thing I would redesign is the center exhaust. Give me those twin pipes.
