Post Blasphemy? Where can I get a cupholder?

This might horrify some, but I really would like to get a cupholder for my 993. I like to stop at Starbucks every morning, and I would feel much better if I had one. Does Porsche make one? Or is there a good vendor that someone could reccommend who makes high quality products?

Thanks for the help.

Awww, c'mon Austin! No need for one of those! I do the Starbucks thing in the morning myself, and I consider the one-handed driving an art form.

Have you tried the "Personals" column in the newspaper?

Remember the "Soup ****" from Seinfeld...if he were on the list he would say, "No 993 for you...get a 996!"

Martin, love your post.

But I have to say I am in support of tcuguy. What could be better in the morning than a cup of coffee AND the ability to drive the car. You cannot do both and a man has to have his coffee

BTW, here in New England, It's Dunkin Donuts, hands down.

Here is the "F1" of cupholders. Unfortunately, I believe you need to drill holes.

Pep Boys, 99 cents. Hangs on the window. I use it for the walkie-talkie on group tours as well.

Be sure and order a "Freeway Coffee" (small coffee in a medium cup), so when you take those corners really fast, it is less likely to spill on the door panel.

That happened a mile from my parent's house in Toledo, OH!

I was going to suggest checking the cupholder on my site, but I realize that I have sabotaged my own web page. I updated it last night, and it looks like I have destroyed all the links...

See if this works.

This is sold by a fairly popular catalog company that is not a Rennlist supporter with the initials G.G. and is difficult to pronounce. About $16. It works incredibly well. The only spills I have had is when I left the top to my coffee open. Even in the hardest driving (90mpg off ramp sweepers), never had a top pop off (including fast food cups) or a cup fall out. The only cup so far that it won't hold is the McDonalds super-duper size drink that holds like 128oz. Please note: I never actually drink any drinks in the car. I only use it to transport the drink back to the house or to work. It is too inconvenient to reach while driving.

I put the camcorder on a tripod, let the video run as I opened the cup holder and inserted the cup. Then I pulled the best frames off the video and made a simple .gif animation.

Incidentally, now that I have the child seat behind the driver's seat, the subwoofer is behind the passenger. It slides forward and tries to knock over whatever fluids are in the cup holder since the top of the cup just barely sticks up over the plane of the rear seat. So I anchored the sub to the seat belt mounting points using straps. Now it can't move around, looks nice and clean, and is still easily removable.

I've got the one that replaces the cassette holder, with 2 cupholders. It's the nicest I've seen so far. My only complaint is it's kind of awkward to get a cup in b/c it kind of sits behind you. It came w/ my car, and actually, I don't use it that much. Usually I bring a resealable water bottle.

The latest scoop off the press this week in the US...the #1 cause of car accidents in the US is not the cell phone, not eating a pizza, not peeling grapes, NO....it is drinking hot coffee. I disagree, I believe stupidity may be the #1 cause, ignorance #2, lack of focus, or being in the moment #3, and then maybe guys and gals drinking coffee, IMHO, of course.
