Default Pics of new track wheels

Just wanted to post a few pics of my new track wheels. They're BBS-GT's with mag centers. Ultra light, and I personally think they are the best looking wheels on an arena red 993. The rears came with 305 Hoosiers. Not moving, there is about a 1 mm clearance between the tire and inner fender. They might just barely rub on the track at speed.

Nice wheels and a great shine. Your car looks a lot like Kary's... I believe he also uses the BBS wheels. I sorta grabbed some of that look with the Kinesis K28s...

Steve,

I really think grey and gold go best with arena red. Full chrome just doesn't work, IMO. I have K-28's also in the standard anodized finish, but you have a nice combination of both colors.

Mooty,

Don't forget Glen's old race car too . . .

Check those mag centers on a regular basis. I have posted this before but I had one crack on me and I got very lucky that I pitted immediately. It broke almost 3/4 of the way around. The other rear had small hair line cracks too. The rears are more likely to break/crack first. Check the inside of the centers and look for tiny cracks on the spokes.

Kev, is that a NB 993? How do you get 305 in there?

CMMT,

Yes, its a narrowbody. The 305s are VERY tight. Run a business card between the tire and inner fender and it will contact both. I think there will be some very slight rubbing when I try it out on the track. The rear is setup with Moton Clubsports/H&R small diameter springs, 2 degrees neg camber, no fender rolling, and lowered to approximte RS height. I'm not planning on running 305s, they just came with the wheels. Too much rubber, IMO, and too much $.
