Photos after detailing...
Just got a very pro-quality detailing job done. My car looks better than on the day I bought it. BTW, muffler tips are very shiny now, though not real visible in these shots.

Hey Rick-
Nice leaf blower on the wall. I have the same one. Only messin with you, car looks awesome. You say he used clay bar. What's that full service cost, if you don't mind me asking.

Rick,
Your car looks outstanding!!!! Although, the tips still look a bit dull. You may want to buff those puppies up with some Semichrome. Also, now is the time to put a coat of Rejex on that bad boy. You can probably get that adhesive off with some 3m rubbing compound and a Dremel tool with the cotton buffer. Just take your time and with some patience you will probably be able to get it off. After you get the gunk off you should follow up with 3m SMR, then glaze and apply wax or Rejex. Or, take it to a good body shop and their buff guy can probably get it off without much fanfare.
And... I have a feeling the ghosts of Carrera's past and future are trying to tell you something.

Use a little "goof-off" to get that residual glue off. Use it sparingly and rub most of the glue off with your bare fingers. Work at it and it'll come off. After that, use a good rubbing compound and then buff and polish. Did mine in about an hour and you'd never know there was another emblem there.
Other than that - she looks beautiful!!

are you rear brakes effective? The reason for my question is I noticed rust in the pictures on your rear discs. I ran my C2 for quite a while and noticed that whilst the fronts were shiny the rears never really got cleaned. The dealer said there was a tendency for rear brakes to not "come-on" as hard as they should.

Stu, we DID try Goof Off, but it just clouded up the paint. Of course, that was on Saturday while it was raining out and we didn't try for more than about 30 sec. That's my next project. I got the 911 logo on eBay, but it was a Porsche OEM part. I think it was $20 or so.
My brake rotors are only rusty in the photo from having just been sprayed during the washing. Those brakes totally kick a$s. My stock brakes were no slouch and these BR's are better. First track event with the BR's is in early Oct., but so far I'd say my pedal is far stiffer and brakes feel much more responsive. No singing either!
