Need help re: AT Italia Riva 2-piece wheels......
I have seen these wheels on a 964 Turbo 3.6 and they look absolutely fabulous.
They have the look of the Hamann HM2 or a Speedline, but they seem alot more reasonable price wise.
People always say to be wary of cheap wheels, as they cause problems. While these are not super-cheap at $329/piece, they are still quite reasonable.
Is there a reason NOT to get these? Cheap manufacturing, easily bent, are they unreliable from any standpoint, etc...
Thanks for any help.

Robert,
I have a set of ATP 2 piece SPA wheels (17's) and used them when I first went to a R compound. I like the looks and have not had a problem with them. I now use them for my snow tires. Other than the fact they are heavier than a Kinesis, or Fikse wheel I can't think of a reason not to get them.

Robert,
I was looking at the same brand recently for track tires and decided against them after researching them. Our regions chief driving instructor and DE organizer both had bad experiences with the lower cost rim makers. One had mille miglias, and discovered (by chance, right before going out on the track) a small crack on the inside of the rim, which he later found out lead to a bigger, non visible crack from there. The other had a similar experience. They recomended I get a set of factory takeoffs, or spend the money to get a similar quality wheel like from bbs, fikse, kinesis, etc. Good luck.
