Thinking about going with my boy. It would be quite a drive assume everyone here would say it's worth it. Anyone underwhelmed by what you've seen in the past?

No. I've been to Air / Water every year since it started, and Luft Copenhagen. Always incredible. This one will be significant given it's the first East Coast installation . . .

Do it.
I've been to 8 of the 10 so far - starting at Bandito Bros. on La Cienega. Most have been amazing, a couple have been good but none have been a disappointment. Having attended so many of the SoCal Lufts, you tend to see the same (still wonderful) Porsches but as stated above the first east coast event should be great. The venue is perfect for the way they like to stage cars and Durham is a cool town for a quick trip.
Considering that the Ingram Collection/Road Scholars should have a significant presence, there's no doubt in my mind that it should be well-worth the effort to attend.
Coming from Maryland, anyone have any must drive roads for the "rally" down? I'd like to get a route planned on Google Maps to share with everyone. With a number of cars, the drive down could be as fun as the event itself. I have ALRandall local to me and the two of us are thinking of driving down in a convoy - along with whoever else would like to join.
Thinking of going SW to Charlottesville and then winding down from there.
Looks like I was a wee bit slow in getting going on this. Got the early admission (based on recommendation here), but missed out on the evening before event. and looks like the last room within 15 min walking distance. Is there an unofficial gathering the evening before? I am assuming there is no place to park our 993s at the event (like Cars & Coffee). Is there any such gathering the evening before, or create our own?
I know tickets go on sale today. How soon do you hear back if your car was accepted as a 'Premier' or 'Feature' vehicle? I ask since I don't want to buy tickets later today and then get accepted and have to buy another ticket.
