For the last years the only two types of door sills available from the factory were the "Carrera" and "Turbo" door sills.
All the other stainless steel door sills were discontinued and superseded by the "Carrera" or "Turbo" door sills.

Since a couple days, the following factory stainless steel door sills are available again :
"Carrera 4"
"Carrera RS"
"Carrera S"
"Targa"

For whatever reason, the "Carrera 4S" door sills are still not listed.

I like the SS sills but wondered if they were also available in carbon fibre as the rest of my interior is CF.

The factory never offered carbon door sills for the 993.

i have seen a number of 993 turbos with cf door sills that had the turbo script and looked very factory.

Indeed, they look very factory-like but were sold by aftermarket suppliers. This was from TechArt and the "Turbo" script was added by the owner:

FYI. I was in contact with TechArt in Germany and they do not make the carbon door sills.
They did however send me an offer for a complete carbon Kit that is priced excellent so if someone is interested please PM me and I will give you the info and contact name.

This is the reply that I got from their sales export manager in Germany who works at the main TechArt office and who sold me my steering wheel:

Sounds like they have discontinued the 993 Carbon parts. The yellow car pictured above used to belong to a friend who purchased his Carbon pieces from CEC in Los Angeles a few years ago. He thought they came from TechArt.

Indeed it looks that they have discontinued their carbon Program for the 993...The price i was quoted for the entire package plus door inserts is $1000 (1200 with Tax)!!!! Pretty incredible isn't it?

Not that it fits our 993 cars (fits the 996 series) but I see that Tweeks is selling a set of Carbon Fiber 'Carrera' logo door sill guards for ONLY $799.99!

Yes that is what I understand as well... The Carbon Kit offered to me is complete with the door inserts and it is the last they have in stock. Maybe they can still do special ordering but I suspect that since our 993's are aging it would not be very profitable for them to still be producing them.
