Cool PSS-9 on sale ! Swaybar help needed now

Gert has the Pss-9 coil overs on sale!!!
He also has them bundled with different sway bars. I need some opinions mo30 22 and 20 mm
or turbo 22 and 21 bars. I am an avid autocrosser and instruct at my local track Summit Point, and I am worried about having to much bar in the back, or should I stay with my non mo30 bars and enjoy the pss-9 by themselves??

If you are autocrossing, then you should probably at a minimum get the RS swaybars in the back so that you can better fine tune the handling...or you could get non-adjustable ones (MO30 or Turbo) and drill extra holes.

Given that RUF ships their version of the PSS-9 with a RS rear swaybar only, and leaves the front intact, it should follow that just a rear adjustable bar should be enough for most drivers. That seems to be the consensus (if you can call it that!) on some of the other threads. The best set IMHO is the PSS-9/M030front/RS rear from a cost/performance perspective. If you are really into tuning then get the whole RS kit!

Gert's prices are quite good right now, especially with the bars. I am almost ready to order but with the sucky economy and having a company that may go broke soon, I need to hold back!! Its tempting though.

Cheers,

Mike

Ben, you're getting some good advice here. Definitely go with at least a rear adjustable bar.

You know I put the H&R coilovers on my car. I did that before the RS adjustable bars came. Big mistake. Way too much understeer.

Once I got the RS bars and set them to the stock RS settings (I forget which holes) the car was perfectly neutral.

I'll call you at work too.

John...you are just testing us, right? Stock setting is the center setting. There are 5 holes in front, 3 holes in the rear. The RS booklet says to set them in the center for street driving.

Hi,

I would like to get a set of PSS-9's from Gert but the Euro. VS. U.S. Bilstein Warranty stinks (i.e., 1 year + Gert will provide another = only 2 yrs. VS. Limited Lifetime Warranty!).

I don't plan to race my 993 on the track , what swaybars do you recommend for street use?

Thanks, Frank

I have the RUF version of the PSS-9 suspension and the rear bar may be slightly different than the RS bar in that it only has 2 sets of holes while I believe the RS bar has 3 sets of holes. Bar diameters may be the same however.

Your only 30min from Blackhawk (S.Beloit) and your not going to the track??? come on down for PCA novice event in April. As for PSS9's, another list sponsor who sometimes gets overlooked when it comes to buying things is Steve at Rennsportsystems. All his PSS9's come with a lifetime warranty. If your really never going to go to the track, stock bars will work just fine, but if you come to Blackhawk and like it, you may find yourself wanting a little more "tune-ablity" afforded by the RS type bars.
